Summer Topics

We offer several different summer program topics!

 NASA: A Journey Into Space

  • (K-6th grade): From our Earth’s atmosphere to the outer reaches of our solar system, this hands-on program sends children on a quest for exploration! Discover comets, planets, stars and more. Learn how NASA uses gravity to launch things deep into space, the challenges of space travel, and explore rocket construction by building your own Skyblazer II RocketTM. Travel to the end of the rainbow, find out what makes a sunset, and see how far your imagination can take you.

 To the Lab & Beyond!

  • (K-6th grade): How much can science affect the world around us? Join us to find out! Each day we'll learn something new to covera a wide range of scientific topics. Campers will help solve the ecological problems that plague the planet, explore the animal kingdom, and learn how to test things in the lab!

 Crazy Chemworks

  • (K-6th grade): Shake up a flask of fun in the lab as a Junior Chemist! These five half-days of chemistry are jam packed with cool reactions. Put on some googles and gloves and change liquids to solids and back again. Learn how to handle laboratory equiptment, build and break molecular bonds, and take home your own chemistry set to continue experimenting at home!

 Rockin’ Rockets & Aerodynamics

  • (K-6th grade): From the earliest flying machines to rocket flights, this week-long hands-on program will allow kids to build many different flying devices. Discover how Newton's Laws of motion explain how things move! By the end of the week each child will have created at least one rocket that they can take home to launch with parent supervision. This is a camp that will take you to exhilarating heights!

 Sprouting Scientists

  • (Pre-K ages 4-6): Explore the way things grow with Mad Science in this “down-to-earth”, half day preschool camp. Learn about plants by dissecting seeds, making leaf rubbings, and creating farmable fruit and veggie prints. Find out all about bugs and bees, while fluttering around the camp as flowers favorite pollinator. Come see what the buzz is all about!

  • (2nd - 6th grade): Build your imagination to new heights as you explore engineering with LEGOÒ bricks! From vehicles, to machines, to aerospace, discover what makes a good design. Build a trussed space station module, then connect it with others to create a massive modular spacecraft. Have you ever wondered exactly how a bridge really works? Wonder no more.

  • (1st - 6th grade): While Thomas Edison said invention is 10% inspiration and 90% perspiration, this camp is 100% FUN! Children will overcome a series of challenges using basic materials, simple machines, tips from famous inventors, and most importantly – their brains! With a little bit of ingenuity, children will create catapults and forts, construct working light sticks to take home, and assemble circuits with batteries and lightbulbs.

 Water Works

  • (Pre-K ages 4-6): Water is more complicated than it looks - through this exciting camp, preschoolers will learn all about the different properties of water! They will learn about sea life, density and buoyancy. Children will experiment with dry ice and water, create their very own water art and discover how water can be the most powerful force on earth! Preschoolers will be amazed at how much they can do with WATER!

 Mad Science Junior Program

  • (Pre-K ages 4-6): Join Mad Science hands-on fun! Become an honorary Junior Mad Scientist and learn about some of the awesome stuff from the Mad Science laboratory. Become a young astronaut and explore the mysteries of space, a junior engineer and check out shapes, and a budding chemist with fun chemical reations! We'll make things to take home so the fun can continue at home.
